Shining a Light on Submerged Illumination

Original Presentation Date: October 28th, 2020

Watershape lighting has evolved with the increasing use of LED fixtures, opening up a range of design possibilities. Layout and selecting the right fixtures for the job means using various sizing metrics and product knowledge. This illuminating webinar provides design concepts needed for working with submerged lighting systems.

1:00 hour -Watershape University is authorized by IACET to offer 0.1 CEUs for this program.

CEUs are awarded for successfully logging completion of this webinar through the course curriculum page after viewing the lecture. Further instructions for registering your completion of this course are posted on the course curriculum page below the webinar recording.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. Define key lighting concepts including color temperature, lens angles, luminous intensity, and other physical parameters of submerged lighting.
  2. List usage values such as watts, lumens, Lux, candelas, foot-candles, and other metrics to size and quantify the number of lights needed for a given space.
  3. Review pertinent codes for both lighting and electrical safety.
  4. Discuss practical examples for submerged lighting design.
